Every character
has roots.
Guy began as a tiny sapling in a California redwood forest. For 102 years, he watched humans come and go. He knew the rain, the birds, and the earth beneath his roots. But he wondered what life beyond the forest might be like.
When a powerful wind brought him down, his story took a surprising turn. A kind woodcarver shaped a piece of his fallen wood into a little wooden man. A ventriloquist helped him find his voice. And a whole human world opened up.

The heart behind the laughs
His roots may be gone, but his connection to Mother Earth is still strong. He remembers the rain, the birds, and the forest that was his first home.
